Ramirez Shines In Debut
As if the Reds didn't already have a surplus of great young pitching prospects in the stable they reeled out another one tonight in the personel of Ramon Ramirez. Ramirez went 7 innings allowing just 5 hits and 3 runs and was in line to get his 1st win until the bullpen sputtered in the 8th. However, Cory Patterson's triple in the bottom half of the 8th scored Jay Bruce to give the Reds a 7-6 edge and eventually another win. Coco Cordero came in a slammed the door in the 9th to earn his 26th save of the season.
