Redlegs Race Past Chicago 7-2

Here's the good, the bad, the notables and the Redlegs Review Hard Hat recipient for Wednesday's 7-2 Reds win over the Cubs (65-84):

The Good:
-In only his second start in a week, Ramon Hernandez came through with a three-run homer (12th of season), a double and two runs scored.
-Juan Francisco, Edgar Renteria and Chris Heisey pitched in two hits a piece.
-Nick Masset, Logan Ondrusek and Jose Arredondo combined to hurl three innings of scoreless baseball while striking out four.
-Cincinnati pitching issued one lone walk in the contest.
-The Reds guaranteed at least a split of the series with the victory.

The Bad:
-Johnny Cueto exited the game with two outs in the fourth due to injury.
-Brandon Phillips went down on strikes three times in an 0 for 4 night at the dish. BP is hitting just .194 (20-193) on Wednesday's this year.
-Joey Votto and Jay Bruce were held hitless for the second straight night after the two combined to go 0 for 6 with a couple of walks.

-The victory cemented a season series win for the Reds over Chicago (10-7).
-Despite only lasting 3 2/3 innings, Cueto still managed to lower his ERA to a league-leading 2.31.
-Hernandez is hitting .366 (45-123) at home this year.

-Tonight's Redlegs Review Hard Hat goes to Ramon Hernandez for his winning efforts.
