Dogs Lose Again; Get Ready for Chapman

The Phoenix Desert Dogs lost again, dropping a 9-4 contest to the Scottsdale Scorpions.

-Cody Puckett played at 2B and went 1-5 with a double and a strikeout. He also committed his first error of the season.

-Nick Christiani had another rough outing, being charged with a blown save after giving up three runs, one earned, on two hits over an inning of work. He also walked two and gave up a home run, while striking out just one.

Don't forget that Aroldis Chapman is scheduled to pitch for the Desert Dogs tomorrow as they face the Salt River Rafters, with first pitch scheduled at 12:35 MST. It's unclear whether or not Chapman will throw that first pitch, but I assume he will and will go on to pitch a couple innings as he warms up for winter ball.

Christiani had an ERA of 3.52.
