Playing Arizona Fall League Catch Up

October 13, 2011
Phoenix continued the losing streak as the Desert Dogs lost 6-2 to the Surprise Saguaros.

-Brodie Greene started at 2B and went 1-5 with a solo homer, but also had three strikeouts.
-Cody Puckett played in RF, going 1-4 with an RBI and a K, as the Reds' prospects accounted for both Desert Dogs' runs.
-Donnie Joseph had another rough outing allowing two earned runs on three hits. He also walked one and struck out one.
-Nick Christiani had another perfect outing, striking out two in an inning of work, keeping his AFL ERA at 0.00.

October 14, 2011
On Friday night, the Desert Dogs lost again as the Salt River Rafters beat them 7-5.

-Puckett again played RF and went 1-5 with three strikeouts. He did however hit a three-run shot in the third inning to finish with three RBIs on the night.
-Travis Webb was a little better in his second AFL start, giving up two earned over three innings. He allowed two hits and had three strikeouts.
-Brad Boxberger finally slipped up and allowed his first AFL run. It was an earned run allowed on three hits in 2.1 innings. He also walked one and struck out three. His ERA is still a meager 1.59.
