Webb Wins, Greene Homers for PHX

After a seven run first inning, the Desert Dogs held on to beat the Peoria Javelinas, 10-9 last night.

-Brodie Greene had a nice game at 2B, going 2-5 with a two run shot in that first inning, finishing with two RBIs, a run scored and a walk.

-Travis Webb (1-0) picked up his first win of the AFL, pitching two innings of one earned run baseball. He allowed four hits, and one walk and also struck out two batters.

-Donnie Joseph pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless baseball. He gave up two hits and two walks, but struck out three.

-Brad Boxberger had his worst outing of the 2011 AFL season. He gave up three earned runs on three hits in one inning of work, where he also walked one, before getting his only strikeout against the last batter to end the game.
