Catching up on the Latest Rumors

There's no action taking place on the actual field right now, but that's certainly not been the case off of it lately. Here's the latest buzz around the baseball world involving the Reds:

* FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reveals two rather surprising insights in the following tweet from late Tuesday night. This is the first I've read or heard of the possibility of bringing Hernandez back to the Queen City.

* Just one day removed from being linked to Oakland closer Andrew Bailey, the Reds are now among six teams interested in Rockies closer Huston Street, according to Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated.

Let me first address these rumors by saying that I have the utmost respect for both Heyman and Rosenthal. However, they're constant need to feed false rumors into the rumor mill is both aggravating and annoying. I wouldn't expect any of this speculation to turn out true, but you better believe they'll be saying "I told you so" if they do (It's funny how people seem to forget all the times they were wrong, but who's counting?).

Just remember folks, in the modern landscape where anyone can trigger a viral rumor with a tweet or a blog post, take everything you read or hear with a grain of salt.
