Reds Prospect Turning Heads in AFL


There may be no Reds prospect having a better showing in their offseason league than 2B Brodie Greene. The 24-year old from Texas A&M University is performing well for the Phoenix Desert Dogs.

Through 21 games played Greene has batted .288/.374/.475 with 4 homers, 15 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

In fact he's impressed coaches and onlookers so much that he was named as one of six nominees for the eighth annual Arizona Fall League Dernell Stenson Sportsmanship Award on Tuesday -- an award created in memory for the late Reds prospect who was killed during the 2003 AFL season.
