* Despite swirling speculation, the Reds will not attempt to trade reigning MVP Joey Votto this offseason according to SI's Jon Heyman.

* Although a long-term deal hasn't been struck yet with second basemen Brandon Phillips, don't believe the club is trying to shop the 3-time Gold Glover around.
