Another Ex Red to Padres

San Diego recently added one more player to their roster who spent most of the 2011 season in the Reds organization, and that player is OF Jeremy Hermida.

The Padres and Hermida agreed to terms on a minor league deal over the weekend tweets Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com. The 27-year old was claimed off waivers by the Friars in August before being designated for assignment earlier this month. Apparently, the team liked what they say in his brief stint as a Padre and decided to bring the former Marlins top prospect back for another year.

Hermida appeared in just ten games for the Reds at the major league level last season, but spent majority of the season at Triple-A Louisville where he hit .319/.400/.524 with 17 HR, 55 RBI and 28 doubles.
