Indians 6, Reds 6 F

The first exhibition game of the spring slate is now in the books! The contest - which was played on a 67-degree day in Goodyear, Arizona - was suspended after nine innings and ended in a 6-6 draw. Here is the good, the bad and a couple notables regarding Saturday's contest:

The Good:
Cincinnati Reds Third Baseman Scott Rolen Runs-Drew Stubbs had a solid game going 2-for-2 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs.
-Scott Rolen pounded out a pair of singles in his spring debut.
-Todd Frazier smacked a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game for his only hit of the afternoon.
-Prospect Neftali Soto smacked a solo homer of his own in the fifth.
-Nick Masset, Clay Zavada, Logan Ondrusek, Jordan Smith, and Jose Arredondo each pitched one scoreless inning a piece in relief.
-Jay Bruce and Chris Heisey both recorded an outfield assist.
-The Redlegs are still undefeated in Spring Training.

The Bad:
-The sure-handed Brandon Phillips and Paul Janish each committed an error.
-Starter Mike Leake got knocked around in his two innings of work surrendering four hits and two runs.
-Roster hopefuls Ron Mahay and Kanekoa Texeira didn't fare so well in their first appearances. Both allowed two earned runs in their one inning of relief.
-The offense reached base via walk a grand total of ZERO times today. However, I wouldn't fret too much over this one...these guys are up there to swing this time of the year.
-The Redlegs are still winless in Spring Training.

The Notables:
-Both squads collected 12 basehits and struck out 6 times.
-The Reds and the Tribe clash again tomorrow at 3:05 EST (1:05 MST)
