Checking in on the Reds top prospects

With the way he's playing early, Billy Hamilton may
be running to Pensacola in the near future.
This is the first of what should be weekly postings tracking the progress of the top prospects for the Cincinnati Reds. It will cover just those who are playing in the minor leagues at the time the post is written. For instance, #1 prospect C Devin Mesoraco and #5 SS Zack Cozart will not be mentioned since they are playing exclusively in Cincinnati. We'll cover the top 10-12 players according to MLB.com Prospect Watch with their ranking next to their name, as well as any names who might be creating buzz for whatever reason. Notes
#3 RHP Robert Stephenson has yet to throw a pitch in an actual game for the Reds organization. He was the Reds' 2011 first-round pick and signed right at the deadline, thus keeping him out of late 2011 action. He's expected to start at the rookie level, which begins play in late June.
