MINOR details 4/11/2012: Minor league teams swept Wednesday night


The Reds' minor leaguers didn't fare well last night.
Toledo 4 Louisville 0
-The Bats (2-5) were shut out with starter Luis Atilano (0-1) surrendering four earned runs in just 2.1 innings. Kanekoa Texeira (2.2 IP), Carlos Fisher (2.0 IP), and Scott Carroll (1.0 IP) held the Mud Hens scoreless through the rest of the game.
-2B Chris Valaika had two hits. SS Paul Janish is hitting .385 after going 2-4. CF Kristopher Negron had the other hit.

Mobile 3 Pensacola 2
-The Blue Wahoos (4-3) came up just short again. Curtis Partch gave up 10 hits, but just two earned. Drew Hayes (0-1) got the loss, after allowing an earned run in just 2/3 of an inning.
-3B Mike Costanzo hit a two-run home run in the sixth. LF Cody Puckett was 2-4. CF Ryan LaMarre had a hit and a stolen base. SS Didi Gregorius is hitting .185 after an 0-5 day. 2B Henry Rodriguez went 1-4, and is batting .308.

The Bakersfield Blaze (3-3) were rained out. Check out this official-sounding line from their website: "Well shucks. It poured overnight, and our cozy little park is partially under water."

Lansing 7 Dayton 4
-It was a fourth straight loss for the Dragons (2-4). Justice French (1-1) was charged with the loss after pitching four innings in which he allowed five runs, four of them earned, with two walks and two strikeouts. Erik Miller threw three scoreless innings of relief.
-C Yovan Gonzalez hit a solo homer and was 3-4 on the night with a run scored. 1B Sean Buckley and 2B Ryan Wright each had an RBI. DH Kyle Waldrop got a pinch-hit RBI. Despite no hits, CF Theo Bowe had three stolen bases, bringing his season total to six.
