MINOR details 4/18/2012: At least Bakersfield won last night



The Blaze were the only team in the Reds'
organization to win Tuesday night.
 Toledo 9 Louisville 7 (10 innings)
-The Bats (5-8) lost in extras, just like the Reds. Starter Sean Gallagher gave up four hits and three earned runs in 4.2 innings. Carlos Fisher (1.23 ERA) threw 1.1 scoreless. Scott Carroll (0-1) took the loss allowing three earned in his only inning.
-1B Neftali Soto had a solo home run and two RBI. C Dioner Navarro was huge going 4-4 with two RBI, including knocking in the tying run in the ninth. CF Denis Phipps had two RBI, and RF Felix Perez chipped in one.

Jacksonville 7 Pensacola 0
-Daniel Corcino (0-1) was saddled with the loss surrendering five runs, just two of them earned, in 4.1 innings. Mark Serrano threw 2.2 innings and gave up one earned. Chris Manno gave up one earned over one inning.
-RF Yordanys Perez was a bright spot going 3-3 on the night. SS Didi Gregorius and 3B Henry Rodriguez both went 1-4. LF Cody Puckett also had a hit.

Bakersfield 8 Visalia 5
-John Holdzkom started for the Blaze (5-7) going three innings, allowing just one unearned run. Michael Griffin (1-1) struck out four over 1.2 innings to get the win. Brian Pearl (2) was perfect in 1.1 innings for the save.
-DH Travis Mattair was 2-4 with a solo shot and two RBI. CF Bryson Smith added a solo jack. 2B Devin Lohman went 3-5 with two RBI. 1B Donald Lutz contributed two RBI, while LF Juan Duran had one. SS Billy Hamilton scored three runs on two hits, and of course stole his 11th base of the season.

Fort Wayne 4 Dayton 1
-The Dragons (5-7) lost with Radhames Quezada (0-1) giving up three earned over four innings pitched. Dan Jensen and Kyle McMyne each threw a scoreless inning.
-SS Juan Perez accounted for the only RBI. 1B Danny Viscioso had two hits, including a double. 3B Brandon Dailey went 3-4 as the Dragons had seven hits on the night.
