MINOR details 4/19/2012: Four hits from Lutz lead the way for Bakersfield

Toledo 10 Louisville 4
-The Bats (5-10) lost their third in a row. Andrew Brackman (1-2) took the loss, walking five and giving up six hits over the first four innings, including five earned runs. J.J. Hoover struck out three over 1.1 innings, where two unearned runs scored. Carlos Fisher threw a scoreless 2/3 of an inning.
-CF Kris Negron had two hits, with a double and two runs scored. DH Denis Phipps hit a ninth-inning, two-run home run and finished with three RBI. 1B Neftali Soto knocked in one run. 3B Mike Costanzo is looking strong in Triple-A with two more hits tonight.

Jacksonville 4 Pensacola 3
-J.C. Sulbaran (1-1) had another good start for the Blue Wahoos (7-8), striking out 11 hitters over six innings, giving up three earned runs, though he was saddled with the loss. Justin Freeman, Clayton Tanner, and Donnie Joseph combined to throw three scoreless innings.
-3B Henry Rodriguez, RF Yordanys Perez, C Mark Fleury accounted for the three RBI. SS Didi Gregorius, CF Ryan LaMarre, and 1B Joel Guzman each had two hits.

Bakersfield 8 San Jose 7
-Starter Josh Smith pitched 4.2 innings giving up six runs, with four earned, and eight strikeouts for the Blaze (7-7). Brian Pearl (1-1) picked up the win with a scoreless ninth.
-1B Stephen Hunt had a double and two RBI. 3B Travis Mattair added a solo homer and two RBI. DH Donald Lutz was 4-5 with two doubles, an RBI, and three runs scored. LF Juan Duran and 3B David Vidal chipped in an RBI each. SS Billy Hamilton went 2-4 with a walk and a stolen base (12).

Quad Cities 5 Dayton 4 (13 innings)
-The Dragons (6-8) lost by a run in extra frames. Stalin Gerson had another strong start surrendering three earned runs in 6.1 innings, while striking out six. Dan Jensen (0-2) was the unfortunate losing pitcher, giving up just one unearned run in three innings pitched, though he was responsible for the error that allowed the run in the top of the 13th.
-CF Theo Bowe and RF Kyle Waldrop both tripled in a three-run second inning, each picking up an RBI in the process. 2B Ryan Wright went 3-4 with an RBI and a stolen base, while 3B Junior Arias had two hits and an RBI.
