MINOR details 4/23/2012: "Quality" pitching leads to minor league sweep


All four starting pitchers threw six innings in four wins.
Louisville 4 Indianapolis 2
-Chad Reineke (1-0) earned the win allowed no earned runs in six innings for the Bats (7-12). Nick Christiani and Ron Mahay each threw a scoreless inning.
-C Dioner Navarro had two hits, with a double and two RBI. SS Paul Janish went 2-3 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored. The Bats also got an RBI from 2B Chris Valaika.
*There hasn't been any official announcement yet, but Twitter is blowing up with rumors that J.J. Hoover has been called up to Cincinnati. It has been neither confirmed nor denied as of 9:45am EST.

Pensacola 10 Montgomery 4
-Tim Crabbe (1-0) started and won for the Blue Wahoos (9-10). He pitched six innings, surrendering three earned runs on five hits. Drew Hayes struck out three over two perfect innings.
-LF Cody Puckett went 3-5 with two RBI and a run scored. 3B Henry Rodriguez and 1B Joel Guzman each had two hits and two RBI. 2B Brodie Greene had an RBI also. SS Didi Gregorius went 2-3 to raise his average to .403.

Bakersfield 6 Stockton 5
-The Blaze (11-7) won behind a strong start from Chad Rogers (1-2) who gave up one earned up in six innings. Brian Pearl picked up his fourth save with a perfect ninth inning.
-SS Billy Hamilton had no hits, and walked once, but got two more stolen bases (18). 1B Donald Lutz had two hits including a three-run home run. 3B David Vidal was 2-5 with two solo home runs.

Dayton 8 Cedar Rapids 3
-Daniel Tuttle was the fourth Reds' minor league starter to pitch six innings on Monday night. He struck out four while allowing two earned runs for the Dragons (9-9). Dan Jensen (1-2) got the win throwing two scoreless innings. Jimmy Moran tossed a perfect ninth.
-SS Juan Perez went 3-4 with a double and two RBI. DH Steven Selsky, 3B Junior Arias, and C Yovan Gonzalez each chipped in two RBI as well.
