-The Bats (9-14) got their second strong pitching performance and second win in a row, as Sean Gallagher (1-2) struck out eight over seven innings, allowing two earned runs. Kanekoa Texeira and Jordan Smith pitched the final two scoreless innings.
-3B Mike Costanzo had two hits including his third home run of the year, a solo shot in the second. C Corky Miller also had two hits and a two-run homer in the eighth. DH Neftali Soto had a double and three RBI. 2B Chris Valaika and RF Bill Rhinehart picked up an RBI each.
Jacksonville 5 Pensacola 2
-The Blue Wahoos (11-13) lost again with starter Tim Crabbe (1-1) giving up three runs, two earned, over 5.1 innings. Donnie Joseph threw a perfect eighth inning with two strikeouts to keep his ERA at a pristine 0.00.
-LF Cody Puckett did his part, going 2-3 with a two-run homer in the sixth. Pensacola had just four other players get a hit, with 3B Henry Rodriguez doing so just before Puckett's bomb.
Modesto 7 Bakersfield 4
-The winning streak ended at 11 for the Blaze (14-8) as their starter Daniel Renken (3-1) surrendered seven earned on 10 hits over 4.2 innings, though he did strike out nine. Curtis Partch (2.1) and Daniel Wolford (1.0) held the Nuts scoreless over the final 3.1 innings.
-SS Billy Hamilton went 0-3, but did walk once and stole two more bases (28). 1B Donald Lutz's only hit was a solo jack, giving him six on the year. CF Bryson Smith went 4-4 with a solo homer, two RBI and a run.
Dayton 7 Beloit 3
-Daniel Tuttle struck out five over 5.2 innings where three runs crossed, none of them earned, as the Dragons (12-11) won Saturday. Carlos Contreras and Brooks Pinckard held the Snappers without a run through the end of the game.
-1B Sean Buckley hit a three-run shot in the second. LF Juan Silva went 3-4 with two RBI and a run scored. SS Brandon Dailey and 2B Ryan Wright both accounted for an RBI.
