MINOR details 4/8/2012: Cingrani dominant as Bakersfield triumphs

Tony Cingrani led the Blaze back
to .500 on Sunday afternoon.

Columbus 7 Louisville 4
-Chad Reineke made the start for the Bats (1-3), and got a no decision after giving up three earned runs in six innings. Nick Christiani (0-1) got the loss and his second blown save of the young season by allowing four runs, three earned, in just 2/3 of an inning.
-1B Danny Dorn was 1-3, hitting a two-run home run and scoring two runs. C Dioner Navarro accounted for the other two RBI. 2B Kristopher Negron stole his third base of the year. CF Denis Phipps who was so hot in the spring, went 0-4 on the day and is batting just .063 to this point.

Pensacola 7 Montgomery 5
-The Blue Wahoos (3-1) sent Tim Crabbe to the mound. He pitched four innings where he gave up just one earned run, while both walking and striking out four. Tim Gustafson (1-0) picked up the win, although he gave up three earned runs over 3.2 innings. Donnie Joseph closed the game to pick up his second save.
-LF Cody Puckett went 2-3 with two doubles and three RBI on the day. DH Joel Guzman was also 2-3, while chipping in two RBI. SS Didi Gregorius and 2B Brodie Greene each had an RBI as well.

Bakersfield 5 Visalia 2
-Tony Cingrani (1-0) was sensational for the Blaze (2-2). He threw six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out five.
-DH Travis Mattair provided the muscle, hitting a three-run shot in the fourth inning. RF Yorman Rodriguez was 1-3 with an RBI. Speedster SS Billy Hamilton went 0-4 on the day.

The Dayton Dragons enjoyed the day off on Sunday and will return to action Monday night as they face the Lansing Lugnuts at 7pm EST.
