MINOR details 4/9/12: Bats aren't grounded by strikeouts in win

Despite 15 strikeouts, the Bats scored
nine runs in their win over the Mud Hens
Louisville 9 Toledo 3
-The Bats (2-3) won behind six innings of one-run baseball from Andrew Brackman (1-0), where he allowed just two hits, while walking one and striking out four. Scott Carroll threw two scoreless innings in relief.
-CF Denis Phipps hit a two-run home run in the third inning. DH Todd Frazier was 2-5, with a double, a run scored and two RBI. 1B Neftali Soto, C Corky Miller, and 2B Kristopher Negron each had an RBI. LF Daryl Jones collected a triple.

Pensacola 6 Montgomery 5
-The Blue Wahoos (4-1) keep rolling as J.C. Sulbaran struck out six over 5.1 innings, while allowing just two earned runs on six hits and two walks. Justin Freeman (2-0) got the win giving up one run over two innings. Clayton Tanner (1) saved the game with a scoreless 2/3 of an inning.
-1B Mike Costanzo brought the mustard for a third-inning grand salami. RF Josh Fellhauer went 1-2 with two RBI. SS Didi Gregorius was 2-4 with a run scored. 3B Henry Rodriguez also went 2-4 on the day.

Bakersfield 10 Stockton 4
-Kyle Lotzkar (1-0) started for the Blaze (3-2). He pitched six innings, surrending just two earned on six hits while striking out eight.
-DH David Vidal was 3-4 with two doubles and three RBI. C Tucker Barnhart was 2-4 with two RBI. CF Bryson Smith had two RBI, while LF Donald Lutz and 1B Stephen Hunt had one a piece. SS Billy Hamilton went 1-4, with a double and two runs scored. He also stole his third base of the season, but committed his third error also.

Lansing 8 Dayton 0
-Stalin Gerson (0-1) was the losing pitcher after being charged with five runs, four of them earned, in 4.1 innings of work for the Dragons (2-2). He gave up 10 hits, including three homers, and two walks. Jim Moran threw two scoreless innings, while Ryan Kemp pitched a hitless ninth.
-3B Junior Arias, 2B Ryan Wright, and 1B Sean Buckley each had a hit for the only three hits the Dragons had. Wright also had a stolen base. SS Juan Perez stole a base as well after being hit by a pitch.
