MINOR details 5/4/2012: Reds minor leaguers fall victim to the broom

Durham 7 Louisville 1
-It was pitcher-by-committee for the Bats (10-19) on Friday as Ron Mahay made the start, allowing just one earned run over four innings. Scott Carroll (1-2) took the loss giving up six earned in just 2.2 innings. Josh Judy pitched the final 1.1 innings with no runs.
-SS Kris Negron went 2-4 with a double and an RBI. LF Danny Dorn was 2-2. 3B Mike Costanzo had a hit and scored the run.

Jackson 10 Pensacola 2
-Starter Tim Crabbe (1-2) pitched four innings and gave up six earned runs, all in the second for the Blue Wahoos (13-16). Mark Serrano threw three scoreless innings of relief, while Drew Hayes struck out the side in his only inning.
-1B Joel Guzman had two hits and an RBI. 2B Brodie Greene had a three-hit game. C Koyie Hill accounted for the other RBI.

Modesto 4 Bakersfield 2
-The Blaze (15-12) lost with starter Daniel Renken giving up just one earned run in five innings. Curtis Partch tossed two scoreless innings and Daniel Wolford added 1.2 innings of scoreless baseball. Michael Griffin (1-2) suffered the loss allowing three earned runs in just 1/3 of an inning.
-DH Donald Lutz hit his eighth home run of the year. C Tucker Barnart was 2-3 with an RBI. Billy Hamilton got a much deserved day off.

Lake County 5 Dayton 0
-Daniel Tuttle (1-1) surrendered three earned in six innings for the Dragons (12-16). Dan Jensen allowed no runs in his only inning of work.
-2B Ryan Wright, SS Juan Perez, CF Steve Selsky, and LF Juan Silva were the only Dragons to manage a hit on Friday.
