Law: Billy Hamilton 'one to watch' in Futures Game

Billy Hamilton is so fast, he makes fast
people look...not fast

Major League Baseball released the rosters for the 14th annual Futures Game on Thursday and there were two Reds prospects who made the cut: Single-A Bakersfield SS Billy Hamilton and Double-A Pensacola RHP Kyle Lotzkar.

Hamilton made the grade for the United States roster while Lotzkar, a native of Canada, will represent the World team, much like current star and fellow Canadian Joey Votto did in 2006.

ESPN Insider Keith Law tabbed Hamilton as one of 'five guys most likely to do something awesome' in his recent column highlighting the event. Check out this excerpt on the switch-hitting speedster:

Billy Hamilton, SS, Cincinnati Reds (high Class A Bakersfield): He has stolen 80 bases in 66 games already. If he stole any more, he'd be eligible for TARP money.

The exhibition affair will take place on July 8th as part of the Taco Bell All-Star Sunday festivities beginning at 5:00pm et.

Also playing in the game will be former Reds catching prospect and now San Diego Padre Yasmani Grandal.

Yonder Alonso, now also a member of the Padres organization, and Devin Mesoraco represented Cincinnati in last year's Futures Game.
