MINOR details 6/1/12: Blaze oh so close to first place

Bakersfield is just 0.5 GB of first.

-Pedro Villarreal (2-2) gave up three earned runs in 5.2 innings for the Bats (17-38). Nick Christiani (1.1), Josh Judy (1.0) and Jordan Smith (1.0) combined for the final 3.1 scoreless innings.
-CF Joey Gathright was 1-4 with a double. C Corky Miller had a hit and drove in the only run.

-Daniel Corcino (2-3) was tagged for six runs, three of them earned, in just three innings for the Blue Wahoos (25-29). Chris Manno threw two scoreless innings, and Wilkin De La Rosa added one.
-1B Joel Guzman was 2-2 with a double and a run scored. 2B P.J. Phillips knocked him in with a double of his own.

-The Blue Wahoos (25-30) lost the second game in extras, where all the runs where scored in the 10th. Mark Serrano started and struck out five over five scoreless. Donnie Joseph had three strikeouts in 1.1 innings, while Curtis Partch struck out another five in his 2.2 innings of work. Justin Freeman (2-4) was charged with the loss allowing both the tying and winning runs to cross on a single in the 10th.
-1B Stephen Hunt was 2-4. C Chris Berset had the only RBI.

-The Blaze (31-23) won their fifth straight to pull within a 1/2 game of the Giants. Chad Rogers (3-2) gave up four runs, three of them earned, over six innings while striking out eight. Michael Griffin pitched two scoreless innings, and Brian Pearl had a perfect ninth.
-SS Billy Hamilton went 2-3, with three walks, an RBI, two runs, and three stolen bases (60). CF Bryson Smith had two RBI, while C Tucker Barnhart added a double and an RBI. RF James Ewing recorded three hits and five, count ‘em, five runs batted in!

-Stalin Gerson (3-4) took the loss giving up two earned runs, four total, in five innings for the Dragons (20-35). Cole Green and Carlos Contreras each tossed a shutout inning.
-SS Juan Perez came up with a hit and two RBI. 3B Junior Arias hit a solo home run (2), and finished with two ribbies. C Yovan Gonzalez finished 3-4 with a double and two runs scored.
