under way with an ugly loss.

-Sean Gallagher (W 5-4, 5.04) pitched five innings of two-run baseball for the win. Bill Bray struck out one in 1.1 innings of scoreless ball. Nick Christiani threw 1.2 scoreless innings, and Jordan Smith added one of his own.
-SS Paul Janish had two doubles, an RBI, and two runs scored. 3B Mike Costanzo had two hits and an RBI. 1B Danny Dorn recorded a hit and two RBI. RF Bill Rhinehart was 3-4, with a double, two RBI, and a run. 2B Cody Puckett also banged out three hits and drove in two runs.
Mustangs (0-1), T-Last place Pioneer League West, 1.0 GB
-Wes Mugarian (L 0-1, 6.75) allowed three earned runs in four innings. Joel Bender took a whipping, giving up eight earned runs in just 1.2 innings. Jesus Adames was the only unblemished pitcher, tossing 1.1 scoreless innings.
-RF Jesse Winker* finished 1-4, with an RBI and a run. C Wagner Gomez also drove in a run. SS Brandon Dailey was 2-4, with a double.
*Winker was selected in the 2012 supplemental first round, with the 49th overall pick by the Reds, which they got as compensation for losing Ramon Hernandez to free agency.
The AZL Reds will start their season tomorrow, June 20th against the AZL Indians at 7:00pm local time.
The Blue Wahoos will be off from Monday to Wednesday for the All-Star Break. Ryan LaMarre will be leading off and starting at CF for the Southern League’s South All-Stars, while Didi Gregorius will start at SS and bat ninth. Josh Fellhauer, Joel Guzman, Daniel Corcino, and J.C. Sulbaran were also named reserves for the game. Henry Rodriguez was also named to the team but won’t play due to injury. The Blaze are off from Sunday through Wednesday in observance of All-Star festivities. Billy Hamilton was tabbed as a starter for the All-Star game. Donald Lutz, Chad Rogers, Brian Pearl, and Tony Cingrani were also named to the 2012 California League All-Star team, though Lutz (injury) and Cingrani (promotion) will not play. The California League All-Star team will play the Carolina League All-Stars today, June 19th. We will update you on how the Blaze players perform in the game.
