Reds top prospects update: Billy Hamilton blazes into All-Star break

Could Hamilton be joining his former teammate, Tony
Cingrani, in Pensacola after the All-Star break?
The first half has come to a close for AA, High-A, and Low-A. Tony Cingrani was promoted to Pensacola, and while he hasn’t duplicated his dominating start with Bakersfield, he hasn’t tailed off that badly with a 1-1 record and 2.55 ERA through three starts with the Blue Wahoos.

Billy Hamilton is still blazing. He finished the first half with 80 stolen bases, while playing in 66 of Bakersfield's 70 games. That puts him on an absolutely ridiculous pace to steal something like 160 bases in 132 games played, though he'll probably end up playing a few more games than that barring injury. Perhaps a promotion is in order after play resumes following the All-Star break?

Donnie Joseph got promoted to AAA Louisville after being virtually unhittable in Pensacola. He's literally been unhittable for the Bats, having allowed no hits in his first two appearances.

Here's the top prospects update. To see the previous update, go here. All stats are combined stats for every level at which the player has appeared.
