Extra! Extra! Reds win on Ludwick Homer

Ryan Ludwick hits a walk off against former team!
The Cincinnati Reds have remained undefeated since the All-Star break with a 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. While it has only been 2 games it looks promising for the Redlegs. They have regained first place in the division while also beating a key and heated rival in  St. Louis. The anticipation was strong heading into series based on years past brought back to recent memory by former manager LaRussa snubbing some Reds from potential All-Star appearances and both games have lived up to the hype especially if you are a Reds fan.

Here is a look at the Good, Bad, and Notables from this evenings game.

The Good
-A Reds win over the hated Cardinals is always a good thing. The win also guarantees a series win with the potential for a sweep tomorrow night on Sunday Night Baseball.
-Ryan Ludwick ended a 9 pitch at-bat in the 10th inning with a game ending solo-blast. His 13th of the season.
-Jay Bruce, Zack Cozart also knocked in a run each
-Bruce, Brandon Phillips and Scott Rolen all had 2 hits

The Bad
-Cozart, Joey Votto, and Devin Mesoraco all failed to get a hit.
-The team went 1-8 with runners in scoring position
-The Reds also left 11 runners on base.
- Bruce had an error and Mesoraco had a passed ball

The Notables
-The home crowd has had a strong showing in these two games. Yesterday was a sellout while today's attendance was 37,583. Both games have also gone well past the 3 hour mark.
- The Reds are also looking for the sweep tomorrow and another sellout. For those interested the Reds #Tweetup is also tomorrow night.
