MINOR details 7/23/12: Dragons win behind strong start from Gerson

Bats (38-66), Last place International League West, 26.0 GB
-Sean Gallagher (L 8-7, 4.89) gave up five earned runs in five innings. Carlos Fisher tossed two scoreless innings, while Travis Webb added one of his own.
-SS Didi Gregorius was 2-4, and scored the only run. 3B Mike Costanzo and LF Felix Perez were the only other Bats to get a hit.

Blue Wahoos (52-47, 18-12), T-1st place Southern League South, 3.0 up
-Pensacola was off Monday night. They’ll get back on the field Tuesday at 7:00pm local time against the Huntsville Stars.

Blaze (55-46, 14-17), 3rd place California League North, 5.0 GB
-Monday was also a day off for Bakersfield. They’ll start a three-game set with the San Jose Giants on Tuesday at 7:30pm local time.

Dragons (41-59, 11-19), Last place Midwest League Eastern, 8.0 GB
-Stalin Gerson (W 5-7, 4.27) struck out five in six innings of one-run baseball. Carlos Gonzalez hurled two scoreless innings. Michael Dennhardt tossed one scoreless inning.
-SS Juan Perez hit a two-run home run (6). 1B Sean Buckley drove in a run. 2B Joe Terry hit a solo shot (4) and scored two runs. C Yovan Gonzalez also recorded a ribeye.

Mustangs (18-16), 2nd place Pioneer League North, 4.0 GB
-Sal Romano (L 1-4, 6.33) surrendered three runs, two earned, in four innings.
-3B Seth Mejias-Brean smacked a two-run bomb (3). RF Jeff Gelalich added a solo shot (2) of his own. LF Matt Lentz doubled and knocked in a run.

Reds (6-18), Last place Arizona League Central, 9.5 GB
-The AZL Reds had a break on Monday. They’ll play the AZL Rangers at 7:00pm local time on Tuesday evening.
