MINOR details 7/5/12: Henry Rodriguez starts, shines

Rodriguez is off to a good start in Louisville.

Bats (32-57), Last place International League West, 24.0 GB
-Chad Reineke struck out seven and gave up three earned runs in five innings. J.J. Hoover (W 2-0, 1.10) got the win with 2.1 scoreless innings. Donnie Joseph picked up the save (4) though he did allow one earned run in his inning.
-3B Henry Rodriguez made good of his first start with the Bats, going 3-5, with a two-run home run (1), three total RBI, and two runs scored. 2B Cody Puckett tripled, scored, and drove in a run. C Corky Miller went 3-4, with two RBI.

Blue Wahoos (43-41, 9-6), T-1st place Southern League South, 2.0 up
-J.C. Sulbaran (L 6-6, 4.22) took the loss, giving up three earned runs in six innings.
-DH Yordanys Perez was 2-4 and blasted a solo shot (4). CF Ryan LaMarre had a hit and scored a run.

Blaze (47-38, 6-9), T-Last place California League North, 4.0 GB
-Tanner Robles struck out six in six shutout innings. Brooks Pinckard (L 1-4, 8.10) suffered a blown save and the loss, giving up three total runs, two of them earned, while getting just two outs.
-SS Billy Hamilton went 3-5, with a double, three runs, and two steals (103). CF Theo Bowe scored a run and drove in three on two hits. DH Donald Lutz was 2-5, with a solo homer (14) and two RBI.

Dragons (34-50, 4-10), Last place Midwest League Eastern, 6.0 GB
-Fresh off a promotion, Wes Mugarian (L 0-1, 9.64) suffered the loss, allowing five earned runs in 4.2 innings.
-3B Joe Terry recorded an RBI. RF Yorman Rodriguez finished 3-4, with a double. DH Juan Silva doubled and drove in a run.

Mustangs (11-7), 1st place Pioneer League North, 1.0 up
-Ismael Guillon started and struck out six in four scoreless innings. Carlos Ramos (W 1-0, 5.14) got the win, despite giving up two earned runs in 2.2 innings. Jimmy Moran hurled 2.1 scoreless innings.
-LF Jesse Winker doubled and knocked in three runs. CF Beau Amaral, 1B Carlos Sanchez, and C Wagner Gomez each drove in a run. DH Robert Maddox did so as well with a solo jackson (6).

Reds (3-9), Last place Arizona League Central, 7.0 GB
-Wandy Peralta (L 1-1, 4.50) was the starter and losing pitcher, yielding four runs, just one earned, in four innings. Jake Newberry threw two perfect innings, while Matt Tenuta added two scoreless innings of his own.
-2B Ty Washington and CF Jonathan Reynoso had the only hits for the Reds. C Josh Kennelly did record an RBI.
