MINOR details 7/9/12: Blue Wahoos alone in first after win

Bats (33-59), Last place International League West, 24.0 GB
The Bats are currently enjoying the All-Star break. They’ll return to action Thursday, July 12 against the Gwinnett Braves at 7:05pm EST at Slugger Field in Louisville.

Blue Wahoos (46-42, 12-7), 1st place Southern League South, 1.0 up
-Daniel Corcino (W 6-5, 3.16) struck out five over six innings of two-run baseball. Justin Freeman got his eighth save with 2.1 perfect innings.
-LF Bryson Smith drove in and scored a run. 3B David Vidal hit a three-run home run (4) and scored two runs. C Tucker Barnhart was 2-3, with an RBI.

Blaze (48-41, 7-12), Last place California League North, 6.0 GB
-Pat Doyle (W 8-3, 5.14) gave up five earned runs in six innings. Blaine Howell and Brooks Pinckard each threw a perfect inning with Pinckard getting the save (2).
-CF Theo Bowe collected an RBI. DH Steve Selsky blasted a two-run homer (4). 3B Niko Vasquez was 2-4, with a double, an RBI, and a run. RF Kurtis Muller finished 2-4, with two doubles, two RBI, and a run.

Dragons (37-51, 7-11), T-Last place Midwest League Eastern, 3.0 GB
-Carlos Gonzalez (L 0-3, 5.40) suffered the loss when five unearned runs scored, two of them earned, in his three innings pitched. Dan Jensen provided three innings of scoreless relief.
-CF Jefry Sierra tripled in a run. 2B Ryan Wright doubled and drove in a run, while scoring one as well.

Mustangs (12-10), 2nd place Pioneer League North, 1.0 GB
-Robert Stephenson went 3.2 innings, in which three runs scored, just one earned. Nick Routt (L 1-1, 6.48) took the loss, allowing six runs, with five of them being earned in just 0.2 innings pitched. Erik Miller tossed 2.1 scoreless innings, while Sean Lucas also added one.
-LF Daniel Pigott recorded two RBI. C Wagner Gomez finished 3-4, with two doubles, an RBI, and a run scored.

Reds (3-12), Last place Arizona League Central, 10.5 GB
-Amir Garrett (L 0-1, 15.43) was the losing pitcher, yielding three earned runs in 1.2 innings. Jose Williams hurled four shutout, relief innings.
-CF Jonathan Reynoso drove in the only run.
