MINOR details 8/1/12: Dragons, Stephenson win in his home debut

Bats (43-69), Last place International League West, 25.0 GB
Louisville was off on Wednesday. They’ll play the Charlotte Knights at Slugger Field Thursday night at 7:05pm local time.

-Kyle Lotzkar originally started the game and gave up two earned runs in 3.2 innings. Brian Pearl (L 1-2, 7.29) took the loss, allowing two earned runs in 2.1 innings. Drew Hayes tossed two scoreless innings.
-SS Billy Hamilton had a hit, an RBI, and a steal (13, 117). CF Ryan LaMarre was 2-3, with an RBI. RF Josh Fellhauer went 2-4, with a triple and a run scored.

Blue Wahoos (54-54, 20-19), T-2nd place Southern League South, 3.0 GB
-Daniel Corcino delivered five shutout innings, striking out four. Curtis Partch (L 4-4, 4.34) suffered the loss, allowing the only run of the game, a walk-off, in his one inning.
-SS Hamilton went 0-3. RF Fellhauer and 1B Beau Mills had the only Pensacola hits.

Blaze (57-52, 16-23), 4th place California League North, 6.0 GB
-Daniel Renken surrendered five earned runs over six innings. Kyle McMyne (L 2-2, 5.16) suffered a blown save and the loss in 1.1 innings, allowing two earned runs in the bottom of the ninth.
-SS Devin Lohman went 3-5, with two RBI and a run. 3B-2B Niko Vasquez had two hits, including a double and two RBI. RF Steve Selsky blasted a solo home run (11). LF Juan Duran knocked in a run.

Dragons (45-63, 15-23), Last place Midwest League Eastern, 9.0 GB
-Robert Stephenson (W 2-0, 0.90) was the winner in his home debut for Dayton, throwing five innings of one-run baseball with four strikeouts. Michael Dennhardt got a two-inning save (1).
-RF Yorman Rodriguez had a hit, an RBI, and a run. LF Kyle Waldrop and C Yovan Gonzalez each drove in a run.

Mustangs (24-18, 3-1), T-1st place Pioneer League North 1.0 up
-Ismael Guillon struck out six, and gave up one earned run in five innings. Bennett Klimesh and Matt Wiley each pitched a scoreless inning. Alejandro Chacin (L 4-1, 2.76) was pinned with the loss when five runs, just one earned, cross in his 2/3 of an inning.
-CF Beau Amaral was 3-5, with a triple and three runs. 2B Brandon Dailey was also 3-5, with a two-run home run (3). DH Jesse Winker had two hits and two RBI. LF Daniel Pigott was 2-4, with a triple, an RBI, and a run. 3B Seth Mejias-Brean extended his hitting streak to 18.

Reds (10-22), Last place Arizona League Central, 9.0 GB
-Amir Garrett gave up two earned runs in three innings. Wandy Peralta (W 2-4, 5.70) earned the win, pitching 3.2 shutout innings. Jonathan Perez tossed 1.1 scoreless innings. Vaughn Covington hurled one scoreless inning.
-SS Brent Peterson went 3-5, with a double, two RBI, and a run. LF Brayan Arias doubled, drove in a run, and scored twice. C Jose Ortiz had a hit, an RBI, and a run. DH Wilfrel Estevez was 2-4, with a double, two RBI, and a run.
