MINOR details 8/19/12: Phipps shoulders the load for Bats

Bats (50-80), Last place International League West, 26.5 GB
-Sean Gallagher (W 10-9, 4.92) got the win, allowing five runs, four earned, in five innings. Bill Bray gave up three earned runs in 2/3 of an inning. J.J. Hoover picked up his 13th save.
-CF Denis Phipps went crazy, with a 3-3 game, including two home runs (13) and six RBI.

Blue Wahoos (63-62, 29-27), 2nd place Southern League South, 2.0 GB
-Wirfin Obispo struck out seven over five innings of one-run baseball. Wilkin De La Rosa (W 1-1, 2.39) was the winner with 1.1 scoreless innings.
-SS Billy Hamilton was 2-3, with a triple and two RBI. He currently sits on 143 stolen bases, in his pursuit of 146 to break the record. RF Josh Fellhauer had two hits and three RBI. 1B Beau Mills (10) and 3B David Vidal (10) each homered.

Blaze (63-62, 22-33), 4th place California League North, 10.0 GB
-Tim Crabbe (W 4-0, 3.38) struck out eight and allowed three runs, two earned, in seven innings. Carlos Contreras got his second save, despite giving up two earned runs in 1.1 innings.
-2B Ryan Wright was 2-4, with a double, a solo shot (3), two RBI, and two runs scored. SS Devin Lohman doubled and drove in two runs.

Dragons (53-70, 23-30), T-Last place Midwest League Eastern, 9.0 GB
-Ismael Guillon (W 1-0, 0.00) delivered six shutout innings.
-RF Kyle Waldrop had two hits, including a double and a solo homer (8). C Yovan Gonzalez doubled and drove in two runs.

Mustangs (36-23, 15-6), 1st place Pioneer League North 2.0 up
-Andrew Cisco (W 4-0, 2.89) threw five shutout innings with three strikeouts.
-LF Daniel Pigott collected a double and three RBI. DH Robert Maddox hit a solo shot (11).

Reds (16-32), 3rd place Arizona League Central, 14.5 GB
-Pedro Diaz (L 1-6, 6.41) only got one out, while giving up six earned runs to suffer the loss.
-RF Adam Matthews finished 3-4, with a double, a solo Jackson (1), two RBI, and two runs. LF Jose Valdelamar was 2-4, with a double, a two-run shot (2), and two runs.
