MINOR details 8/2/12: Seth Mejias-Brean extends hitting streak to 19

-Todd Redmond (L 7-8, 3.44) lost after two unearned runs scored in his five innings. Will Ohman, Nick Christiani, and J.J. Hoover each tossed scoreless inning.
-CF Denis Phipps went 2-4, with a double and a solo home run (8). SS Didi Gregorius was 2-3.

Blue Wahoos (55-54, 21-19), 2nd place Southern League South, 3.0 GB
-Wirfin Obispo (W 3-0, 2.47) struck out 10 over six innings of one-run baseball. Wilkin De La Rosa threw 1.1 scoreless innings. Justin Freeman got the five-out save (12).
-SS Billy Hamilton walked twice, scored twice, and stole twice (15, 119). CF Bryson Smith was 2-5, with two RBI and a run scored. 3B David Vidal also went 2-5, with two RBI and a runs, but also smacked a solo shot (6).

Blaze (58-52, 17-23), 4th place California League North, 5.0 GB
-Tim Crabbe surrendered five earned runs in five innings, with five strikeouts. Andrew Brackman (W 1-2, 5.08) got the win, giving up one earned run in two innings.
-CF Theo Bowe was 3-4, with an RBI. 1B Dominic D’Anna doubled, drove in a run, and scored a run. 3B Travis Mattair had two hits, two RBI, and a run. RF Steve Selsky was 3-4, with a double, a solo shot (12), and three runs. SS Devin Lohman had three hits, including a double, an RBI, and a run. C Danny Vicioso knocked in a run.

Dragons (45-64, 15-24), Last place Midwest League Eastern, 10.0 GB
-Nick Masset went a scoreless inning. Ryan Kemp (L 1-5, 4.61) suffered the loss, giving up an earned run in 2.1 innings.
-SS Juan Perez collected a hit, an RBI, and a run. 2B Spencer Dickinson also drove in a run.

Mustangs (25-18, 4-1), T-1st place Pioneer League North 2.0 up
-Sal Romano started and allowed three earned runs in 4.1 innings. Dan Langfield (W 3-0, 3.93) struck out five in 2.2 scoreless innings. Sean Lucas hurled a scoreless frame.
-DH Brandon Dailey drove in a run. LF Jesse Winker recorded a hit, an RBI, and two runs. 3B Seth Mejias-Brean went 2-3, with a double, two RBI, and two runs, extending his hitting streak to 19 games. CF Daniel Pigott doubled and knocked in two runs. 1B Carlos Sanchez had two hits and two RBI.

Reds (10-23), Last place Arizona League Central, 10.0 GB
The AZL Reds were off Thursday night. They will face off against the AZL Brewers on Friday.
