Hamilton among four Reds farmhands to crack revised Top 100 Prospects list

The conclusion of the Minor League regular season presented a great chance for the folks over at MLB.com to reevaluate their prospect rankings published earlier in the year. And that's precisely what they did on Thursday as they released their updated rankings for all 30 teams, including the Reds. Not surprisingly, single-season stolen base record holder Billy Hamilton (155) topped the list of Cincinnati's Top 20 Prospects. The 22-year old also ranked as the No. 15 player overall among the Top 100 Prospects around baseball.

Other Reds joining Hamilton in the Top 100 were 2011 first round pick Robert Stephenson (63rd), southpaw pitcher Tony Cingrani (65th), and right-handed hurler Daniel Corcino (79th). Compared to the preseason rankings, the Reds did well in moving up from the 19th to the 16th-best farm system in MLB. Some of that was due to breakout performances from some unexpected players. Most of those guys appear below.

Here is the complete list of Reds Top 20 Prospects, as well as some notes regarding the revised rankings:
