Todd Frazier has quickly become both a fan favorite and household name around Cincinnati this season, and it's easy to see why. The 25-year old rookie is earning respect from his peers, fans and coaches alike by his hustle, upbeat attitude and do-it-all performance on the field, among other things. In fact, his contributions have been so great that many are dubbing him as the favorite to win National League Rookie of the Year honors. If it were up to the "Reds Power Stack Pack" folks seen in the above video, the award would be all his.
He certainly has a good case. At the time of this post, Frazier led all NL rookies in slugging (.517) and OPS (.862), ranked second in triples (6), extra base hits (49) and RBI (62), third in homers (18) and total bases (202), and fifth in average (.284), runs (53) and on-base percentage (.345). Oh, and he also saved a man from choking in Pittsburgh earlier in the year.
