Billy Hamilton homers, but Javelinas lose twice over weekend

Hamilton hit his first homer of the 2012 AFL.
On Friday, Peoria lost 8-7 to Salt River. It was about as even as an affair as you can get with both the Javelinas and Rafters banging out 12 hits on the afternoon.

-CF Billy Hamilton went 1-4, with a home run (1) and a walk. He was picked off at first after the walk.

-SS Didi Gregorius notched a hit in four at-bats.

-RHP Drew Hayes allowed one hit in an otherwise scoreless inning.

Peoria dropped its second straight game on Saturday, losing 4-1 to the Surprise Saguaros. They still hold a league-leading 11-6 record.

-SS Gregorius was 0-3 with a strikeout in this one.

-RHP Josh Ravin tossed a perfect inning to bring his ERA down to 8.10.

The Javelinas were off on Sunday.
