Through five games the Peoria Javelinas are 3-2 and in 1st place in the AFL West division.
The biggest news in the whole league, at least pertaining to the Reds, is that top prospect and speedster, Billy Hamilton has begun his transition to the outfield and more specifically center field. Through two games he has not committed an error in CF, though that doesn't really tell you a whole lot. Without having seen any games, it's impossible to say how he really looks. He could be getting to everything under the sun, or he could be making bad reads and taking bad lines to balls he should be getting which don't show up in the E column, though I highly doubt that. I'm sure he's picking up on it just fine. If not, we will all surely hear about it some way or another.
At first glance, everyone is performing fairly well through the first five games, except Josh Ravin. There's plenty of baseball left though. From here on out there should be pretty regular updates on how the players are doing so just stay tuned.
Without further ado, here is an update on how all seven Reds prospects are performing thus far in the AFL:
OF Billy Hamilton
1B Donald Lutz
SS Didi Gregorius
RHP Drew Hayes
RHP Curtis Partch
RHP Tim Crabbe
RHP Josh Ravin
