Nine Reds up for GIBBYs awards

Don't miss your chance to help decide the winners of this year's 2012 GIBBYs (Greatness in Baseball Yearly) Awards. The winners are decided based on votes by media, front-office personnel, MLB alumni, and fans. There are several Reds players in the mix to bring home the hardware.

They include Johnny Cueto (Best Starting Pitcher), Todd Frazier (Best Rookie), Sean Marshall (Best Setup Man), Ryan Hanigan (Best Defensive Player), Aroldis Chapman (Best Breakout Pitcher), Dusty Baker (Best Manager), and Walt Jocketty (Best Executive).

Fans can also choose among several other categories as well. Homer Bailey is up for Best Pitching Performance while Brandon Phillips is vying for Best Play.

Here's the link to the ballot on MLB.com with which you can vote.

I am a little surprised that Ryan Ludwick wasn't included on the ballot for Best Comeback Player. I was even more surprised to see Joey Votto's name left off of the Best Hitting Performance and Best Walkoff. I believe we all remember what transpired on Mother's Day. If not, here's the video.
