Reds prospects aid as Javelinas roll to fifth and sixth straight victories

Peoria was a well-oiled machine on Wednesday, routing Phoenix 8-0. The Desert Dogs, the Reds AFL affiliate last year, managed just four hits and committed an error, while this year's version, the Javelinas, banged out nine hits. There was plenty of Reds action in this one, with six of the runs being scored by Reds prospects and overall actually having a hand in all eight runs.

-CF Billy Hamilton is starting to hit better now. He finished 2-3, with a double, two RBI (9), a walk, and two runs scored. He struck out once, but also stole his ninth base of the year. He's now hitting .275.

-1B  Travis Mattair was 1-2, with a walk and two Ks. He also scored twice.

-SS Didi Gregorius also went 1-2, with a walk, a strikeout, and two runs.

The Javelinas didn't let up on Thursday. They avenged a couple early losses to the Scottsdale Scorpions by using a 10-run eighth inning to defeat them 12-4. I have nothing further to report as not a single Reds player appeared in this game. Have a nice day.
