Reds place nine players in USA Today top 200 player rankings

Good news, fantasy baseball lovers. The folks at USA TODAY Sports now have a special issue on sale to help you navigate successfully through your league fantasy draft. They have gone through the trouble of ranking the top 200 players in the game so you don't have to.

Apparently, USA TODAY Sports really likes the outlook for the Reds. Cincinnati placed NINE players in the top 200 and FIVE of them were included in the top 80.

Here is a breakdown:

No. 6 - Joey Votto
No. 30 - Jay Bruce
No. 45 - Brandon Phillips
No. 55 - Shin-Soo Choo
No. 77 - Johnny Cueto
No. 115 - Mat Latos
No. 130 - Aroldis Chapman
No. 165 - Ryan Ludwick
No. 168 - Todd Frazier

Needless to say, the reigning National League Central champs were well represented. If you take the 200 players, and divide them by the 30 MLB teams, you arrive at an average team representation of 6.67. Therefore, Dusty Baker's squad snuck two more players on the list than average, which is not too surprising considering that the Reds are expected to reach the postseason again.
They were also four former Reds who made the grade:

No. 22 - Josh Hamilton (LAA)
No. 42 - Edwin Encarnacion (TOR)
No. 145 - Adam Dunn (CHW)
No. 185 - Yonder Alonso (SDP)

Milwaukee's Ryan Braun topped the list after edging out Detroit's Miguel Cabrera by a hair.
