Reds to roll out even more food options at Great American Ball Park in 2013

Food offerings at stadium venues have come along way in recent years. It used to be rare to find anything besides traditional items such as hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and coke. Now, concession menus across the country have expanded to accodomate even the most fickle of eaters.

The Reds have certainly done their part to stay up with the trend by offering its fans a nice blend of local flavor (i.e. LaRosa's, Graeters), exclusive stadium favorites, and food for the healthy-minded, among others. But in an effort to appease fans even more, Great American Ball Park will be adding to its already impressive list of concession options by rolling out new food items in 2013.

Here are a few of the more notable ones, courtesy of Jamie Ramsey:

+ Speciality Sausages/Bratwurst ($8) - Options include Garlic Pepper, Chicken Spinach Mozzarella, Italian Stallion, JalapeƱo Cheddar, Philly Cheese Steak, Portabella Swiss, Taco and Tailgaiter.

+ Frisch's Big Boy ($8.50) - Two beef patties, American cheese, shredded lettuce, pickle, and tarter sauce, all on a toasted bun. Served with fries!

+ Smoked Prime Rib Sandwich ($12) - Smoked Shaved Prime Rib, Hot Off The Grill Cooked in Au Jus with Aged Provolone Piled In A Baguette Served with Creamy Horseradish, Sweet Whole Grain Mustard or Spicy Italian Relish.

Some of the other items on tap include "The Macho Nacho" for $12, Lo Mein Noodles with Chicken for $7.50, and Fried Pretzel Sticks for $9, just to name a few.

Yeah, stadium food isn't cheap, but the Reds have to scrape up the funds to afford their team payroll somehow. Cincinnati is expected to exceed the $100 million mark in payroll for the first time in its storied history this season. It's just a sign of the times, I suppose.

So, which current GABP offering is your favorite? Personally, I'm pretty stoked about the chance to enjoy a juicy Big Boy, while watching the Reds play in person.
