Happy Saturday, folks!
Today, the Reds play host to the Marlins in game three of a four-game series. So far, each team has managed to emerge victorious in one game a piece. Miami essentially snapped a four-game winning streak by the Reds on Friday after sending the home squad to a narrow 2-1 defeat.
But today is a new day and a new day in which the first 30,000 fans through the Great American Ball Park gates receive a free Brandon Phillips bobblehead, courtesy of PNC Bank. Name me one person who doesn't like a free bobblehead and I will name you a liar. Bobbleheads are awesome, especially ones one don the likeness of an All-Star and Gold Glove second basemen.
The Reds will host five of these types of days throughout the season. The next bobblehead day will come on May 11 when the Reds welcome the Brewers. Like today, the first 30,000 fans receive a free bobblehead -- a bobblehead of Aroldis Chapman to be exact.
