Photo: Fan runs onto field during seventh inning of Reds-Nationals game

Friday night was an eventful one for fans at Great American Ball Park.

Not only did the hometown Reds pound the only undefeated team left in the majors by a score of 15-0, but in the seventh inning, the crowd was entertained by a man who ran onto the field of play.

The crazed fan, who may or may not have been under the influence of alcohol, sprinted onto the field and slid into second base during a pitching change by the Nationals. Then, the man tried to flee the scene of the crime by running into the outfield grass, but police eventually tackled and apprehended the perpetrator on the spot.

Hey, it looks like the guy put up a decent fight before being handcuffed, though.

Aside from that incident, all was well in Reds Nation on a brisk April evening.

Was there at the game and I thought it was funny and innocent. Great game and hopefully They Will go easy on the guy.
