Video: Yasiel Puig sends Reds to bitter walk-off defeat

Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig sent the Reds packing on Sunday by delivering this walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th off reliever Curtis Partch.

Puig followed up the monumental swing with a triumphant bat flip as he raised his hands with joy. His trip around the bases concluded with a playful slide into home as his teammates mobbed him. Needless to say, the folks still left at Dodger Stadium went berserk when watching the ball sail into the left field seats.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati was dealt their third loss in a row to the surging Dodgers, and must now head to San Diego for the last stop on their 11-game road trip. They enter Monday with a record of 4-4 on the journey to the West Coast, which up until Los Angeles had treated them fairly well.

The only bright spot in Sunday's 1-0 loss was the fact that Reds pitchers set a new franchise record for the most strikeouts in a single game by fanning 20. However, it wasn't enough as Cincy's offense sputtered yet again, leaving some to wonder if the team may still try and acquire a bat at the trade deadline.
