Reds inch up one spot in newly-released power rankings


The Reds rode the strength of a 4-1 week to inch up one spot in ESPN's updated batch of Major League Baseball Power Rankings on Monday.

Cincinnati came in at No. 10 on the list, just two spots below the Cardinals, who fell three places from last week.

Meanwhile, the Pirates reign at the top was short lived, as the Buccos fell to the 3rd spot due mostly in part to losing three straight against the Rockies.

In other division notables, the Cubs moved up two spots to No. 23, while the Brewers stood steady at No. 27 for the fourth week in a row.
