Oh, it was just the Houston Astros being the Houston Astros.
Already trailing 4-0 in the bottom of the first inning, Astros shortstop Jonathan Villar slashed a line drive into center field to record a hit. But things went awry when the 22-year-old inexplicably tried to stretch a single into a double, much to the chagrin of Reds center fielder Shin-Soo Choo, who calmly fielded the ball and fired it in to second basemen Brandon Phillips to beat Villar by several steps.
Villar was the victim of added insult to injury when the momentum of his headfirst slide propelled him into the backside of Phillips for an encounter he probably won't forget for awhile.

It should come as no surprise that Houston is headed toward its third consecutive 100+ loss season.
