When folks think about Reds All-Star first basemen Joey Votto, the first thing that likely comes to mind is his patience and prowess at the plate.
However, the 30-year-old is not just a one-tool player, he can field his position fairly well, too. And Votto put that skill on full display during the second inning of Sunday's game in Milwaukee.
Watch as Votto retires the speedy Logan Schafer by making a defensive play that is sure to appear on some highlight reels this evening. As you can see, Votto uses courage (barehand) and flair (behind-the-back) that is reminiscent of some plays made by teammate Brandon Phillips in the past.
