Continuity the theme for Louisville Bats coaching staff

On Monday, the Louisville Bats, the Triple-A affiliate of the Reds, announced that the coaching staff from 2013 will return to the dugout at Louisville Slugger Field again in 2014.

Jim Riggleman will return for his second season at the helm after posting a 69-75 mark with the Bats one season ago. He previously served as manager of Double-A Pensacola in 2012.

The 58-year-old Ted Power will once again be the pitching coach. This upcoming year will mark his ninth straight season in that role. Homer Bailey, Johnny Cueto, Tony Cingrani, and Aroldis Chapman are some of the notable pitchers who have played under Power at one point in time.

Tony Jaramillo will be Louisville's hitting coach for the second straight year. It will also mark the seventh consecutive season that he has served as hitting coach in the Reds organization.

The Bats begin their 2014 campaign with an exhibition against the Reds on March 29 at Louisville Slugger Field. Opening day is slated for April 4 in Toledo.
