A crowd of 8,015 was on hand to watch the Reds notch a 2-1 victory over the Texas Rangers on Friday. That figure was enough to set a new club-attendance record at Goodyear Ballpark.

The stadium, which houses both the Reds and Indians, has a listed capacity of approximately 10,311 and is hosting its sixth spring training after opening in 2009.

The game itself lasted just two hours and 13 minutes.

Before the game, former Red and current Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo was presented with his 2013 team MVP trophy. Reds players stood outside the dugout and applauded to show their appreciation as Choo received his hardware near home plate.
