Where does 'Baseball Tonight' rank Joey Votto among first basemen?

Over the last week, the ESPN "Baseball Tonight" crew has been cranking out top 10 rankings at each position on a day-by-day basis. On Tuesday, the time had come to unveil the rankings for first basemen.

To no surprise, Joey Votto ranked favorably on the list, but just how high did he finish? How about second behind only Detroit's Miguel Cabrera.

This ranking is a notch below where Votto ranked on this same list in 2013. That was mainly due to the fact that the "Baseball Tonight" crew categorized Cabrera as a third basemen though (Prince Fielder played first base for the Tigers).

To compile the top 100, more than 40 ESPN experts were polled in February, starting with a list of more than 350 players. Using a 0-to-100 scale, they evaluated the players based only on how well they will perform in 2014. Players expected to miss 2014 with an injury were not included.

Arizona's Paul Goldschmidt and Baltimore's Chris Davis made the biggest jumps in the rankings. Meanwhile, Texas' Fielder and Los Angeles' Adrian Gonzalez experienced the biggest drops.
