Video: Highlights from Johnny Cueto's complete game masterpiece against Pirates

Both Johnny Cueto and the Reds entered Wednesday eagerly looking to notch a win. Cueto was aiming for his first win in 2014 while the Reds were simply looking for their first series victory in five tries. As fate would have it, both found what they were looking for on a crisp afternoon on the banks of the Ohio River.

In short, Cueto was absolutely dominant in this particular game, stifling Pittsburgh's bats to the tune of just three hits and no walks in a dazzling complete game shutout. The Dominican native also struckout a career-high 12 hitters en route to lowering his season earned run average to a tidy 1.50.

Highlights of one of Cueto's best starts in his career came be seen in the video clip above, courtesy of It doesn't take a baseball aficionado to realize Cueto was on his game today.
