Video: Watch Tucker Barnhart smack first major league home run

Tucker Barnhart, the pride of Brownsburg, Ind., gave his hometown a reason to cheer Thursday night as he smashed the first home run of his major league career.

Barnhart's big fly came in the bottom of the fifth inning and effectively knotted the game up at one a piece. It wasn't the hardest hit ball of the game, but the rookie got enough of it to deliver it over the right field wall.

The longball isn't something that comes often for Barnhart. In 1,376 minor league plate apperances, the 23-year-old belted just 13 home runs.
